Hannes
Harrs

 (1927 - 2006)

Hannes Harrs’ passionate involvement with Africa dates back to his childhood, when an uncle, a ship's captain, brought him artifacts. It filled the young soul with wonderment and led to an obsession which brought him to Africa in the 1950s. His love for Africa and the art of its people is the centre of Harrs' own creativity. He works in almost every medium.
